Nithyam Software ("we") runs Nithyam Software, an online CRM used by businesses ("customers") to manage their enquiries, sales, bookings and payments. This policy explains what personal data we handle and how, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. Two kinds of data
- Your account data: the name, mobile number, email and business details of people who sign up and of their team members. We are responsible for this data.
- Your business's records: the enquiries, buyers, customers, documents, payments and other records your business keeps in Nithyam Software. Your business decides what is stored and why; we process it only to run the service for you, as your data processor.
2. What we use account data for
- To create and secure your account, sign you in and send password reset links.
- To bill your subscription, send receipts, and tell you about your plan, service changes and security.
- To answer support requests and improve the product. We do not sell personal data and do not show advertising inside the app.
3. Where data is kept and who can see it
- Data is stored on secured servers of our hosting provider. Each business's data is kept separate from every other business.
- Inside a business, the owner decides what each team member, sales agent or channel partner can see.
- Our staff look at a business's records only when the business asks for support, or when needed to keep the service secure and working. Such access is logged.
- We share data only with service providers that help us run the service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing), under confidentiality, or when the law requires it.
4. Security
Sign-ins are protected against guessing, passwords are stored encrypted, connections use HTTPS, changes are logged, and the database is backed up every night. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
5. Keeping and deleting data
We keep data while your account is active. After a subscription ends, records stay available in read-only mode for a period so you can renew or download them. You can ask us to delete your business's data; deleted records are removed from backups as those backups expire.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by contacting us. If you are a buyer or customer of a business that uses Nithyam Software, please contact that business first, as they decide how your data is used; we will help them respond.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies.
